Battle of the Picky Eater

My son Aiden is a very picky eater. Actually I think that might be an understatement. I had to figure out a way to get him to eat more than just oatmeal and chips! I had to devise a master plan and make tactical movements to get this picky eater to eat!! My idea was to get him involved in actually making the meal then maybe, just maybe he will be more willing to try new things. So I started with something I knew he would eat, oatmeal. He was so excited to "cook" with mommy that he even ate blueberries with his oatmeal!! *Gasp!* I tried not to show my excitement, afraid that it would discourage him. Pretty soon he was "cooking" carrots and fruit salads and trying all different types of fruits and veggies. Aiden even likes hummus! I would say mission accomplished.
